NEW YORK (Billboard) - Slipknot's fourth album has been christened "All Hope Is Gone" and will arrive August 26.
A first single and track list for the Roadrunner release have yet to be announced.
"We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men," group member Corey Taylor said in a statement. "I think it's the best thing I've ever made. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong."
Taylor previously described the new album to Billboard as a "very dark" cross between "Vol. 3" and 2001's "Iowa." "It has so much power in it and yet there are so many great spots for melody," he said. "It's a controlled chaos that hits you right out of the gate."
Slipknot will co-headline this summer's 30-date Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour, which begins July 9 at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington.

R Kelly Seeks Delay In Child Porn Case
Singer R Kelly has requested that his child-pornography trial be delayed citing the "torrent of publicity" surrounding the case over the past weekend.The singer was initially charged with 21 counts of child pornography in 2002 after he supposedly videotaped himself with a girl who was alleged to be 14-years-old. Seven charges have been dropped. Kelly's lawyer, Ed Genson, requested the delay after an article appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times last Saturday (May 3), alleging that a "secret witness" claims she had a three-way with the singer and the reportedly underage girl."We ask to continue the case," Gensen requested. Sammy Hagar - Hagar Rules Out Van Halen Reunion Until Eddie Is Sober
SAMMY HAGAR has refused to return to VAN HALEN until band leader EDDIE VAN HALEN proves he's clean and sober.
The reunited original line-up of the rock group was forced to delay comeback dates last year (07) when Van Halen checked himself into rehab for an ongoing alcohol problem.
And then dates on the tour were scrapped earlier this year (08) when the singer was forced to seek further treatment for an undisclosed medical condition.
Now back on the road with his bandmates and his son Wolfgang on bass, Van Halen appears to be in recovery - but former bandmate Hagar is less than convinced.
Hagar was rumoured to be considering rejoining the band to perform hits he sang after original frontman David Lee Roth left the group.
But he has now ruled out a reunion on account of Van Halen's health: "That's just not something I'm really interested in doing again right now.
"Eddie would have to be able to bring himself back to ground zero; by that, I mean he'd have to be completely clean."
And Hagar admits he can't even bring himself to check out the reunited line-up onstage right now: "After the last Van Hagar (sic) tour, Eddie became my enemy; he wasn't the same guy he was when we started the Van Hagar era of the band; he made what should have been a great experience just down right miserable."
"When I say that, I'm talking about the Eddie Van Halen that is struggling with his personal demons... Last time I saw Eddie, he was in really bad shape.
"I did see a recent photo and he looks healthier than he has in a long time. That, to me, is a great thing, Eddie has all the support on the planet from me if he is finally getting his s**t together."

Minogue denies Martinez romance
Pop singer Kylie Minogue has denied rumours that she has rekindled her romance with actor Olivier Martinez.
Speaking at the launch of her new bed linen range, the 39-year-old singer dismissed media speculation that she was planning to start a family with Martinez.
Minogue said: "I had dinner with my ex-boyfriend and next thing I know there's a debate about whether we're having a family."
"We didn't even talk about that. As I've maintained, we're friends," she said.
The rumours began after the singer was pictured at Martinez's apartment last Sunday.
The pair were later spotted walking back to Minogue's hotel.

'Coronation Street' star Kym Ryder has been named Celebrity Mum of the Year by Tesco Magazine.
The 31-year-old actress, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor in the soap, has two children, 12-year-old David and 10-year-old Emily.
The actress was reportedly chosen as Celebrity Mum of the Year because of her ability to balance her acting and charity work with her family life.
Ryder said: "I'm shocked and thrilled to have won this award from Tesco Magazine. And I feel humbled to have won alongside such amazing mums, whose stories are truly incredible."
"I'll be bringing lots of tissues to the awards ceremony as I know it will be a really emotional and inspiring day."

'Indiana Jones' Sequels Starring Shia LaBeouf? George Lucas 'Can See It Working Out'
He's a professor of archeology, an expert on the occult and a whip-wielding, gun-toting, fist-pounding hero who's never far from the next adventure. Indiana Jones has been called a lot of names since he first exploded onto the big screen in 1981. Now he's about to be called the strangest one of all, hints a Fox News report: sidekick.
While at the Cannes Film Festival, where "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is one of many movies premiering out of competition, George Lucas hinted that he's left the door open for more "Indy" stories, but with Shia LaBeouf, not Harrison Ford, at the center of the action.
"I haven't even told Steven [Spielberg] or Harrison this," he was quoted as saying. "But I have an idea to make Shia the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out."
Connery played Dr. Henry Jones, Indiana's obsessive and somewhat comical father, in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
Although it has been talked about for months, Lucas' statement is another hint that LaBeouf's character, Mutt, might be Indiana's son — that is, if I remember my SAT analogies correctly (Sean Connery : Indiana :: Indiana : Mutt).
LaBeouf himself seemed keen on sequels when MTV News recently spoke with him about all manner of things "Crystal Skull"-related.
"It all comes down to Harrison. He is Indiana Jones, and there'll never be another Indiana Jones," he said. "[But] I'm so geeked-out by this whole situation. I'd be an extra in any Steven Spielberg movie. So, yeah, of course. I mean, who wouldn't [do another 'Indy']?"
Last year, the Net was flooded with stories claiming that Lucasfilm had signed contracts with both Ford and LaBeouf for additional movies. At the time, a spokesman for the company explicitly denied to MTV News the veracity of these rumors, stating they were just "idle chatter among Internet fans."
